Dane Harman—2007 Entrepreneur of the Year Award

Dane Harman, founder, president, and owner of Harman Stove Company, recently won the Ernst & Young 2007 Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Consumer Products in the Greater Philadelphia Area. Ernst & Young present its annual Entrepreneur of the Year awards to the most successful and innovative entrepreneur business leaders around globe, in more than 125 cities and 40 countries. After receiving this prestigious award, Harman is now in the running for the National Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award, which will be presented in Palm Springs, CA in November 2007, where he will also be inducted into the EYO Hall of Fame.

Dane and Gloria Harman founded Harman Stove Company in 1979 and have grown their business to become a leader in the hearth industry, holding several patents, and manufacturing over 40 home heating units representing nine fuel categories (wood, pellet, coal, gas, oil, corn, wheat, barley and oats). Harman Stoves are sold in the USA, Canada, France, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Ireland, and South Korea with continued growth.
