Harman Celebrates 35 Years by Giving Back

Harman recently celebrated its 35th anniversary with much fanfare at our Halifax, Pennsylvania location – and with deep American roots dating back to 1979, we marked the milestone by donating Harman P43 pellet stoves to several deserving U.S. military families.

Our first winner, Michael Dawson, has been a member of the Pennsylvania Air National Guard for 14 years. Michael and his wife Johanna had been saving to buy a stove for their basement as part of a partial remodel when he was nominated to win one of our P43 stoves by multiple family members and friends. Their entries describing his dedication to our country and to his family completely won us over.

Winning the stove allowed the Dawsons to finish their basement completely and create a warm and comfortable space to spend time together as a family – and we’re so pleased and honored to have been a part of it!

Our founder Dane Harman and his daughter Karen Smeltz, Harman’s senior brand manager, personally delivered the pellet stove to the Dawsons, who live in Pennsylvania. “Thank you, not only for the amazing gift of the pellet stove, but also for taking the time to come out to our home personally,” said Johanna Dawson. “That meant more than we can say. We feel so incredibly blessed, thank you!”

Michael and Johanna Dawson and their daughter are already enjoying the fire!

Watch this blog for announcements about other winners soon! From all of us at Harman, thank you for your service Michael. Enjoy the fire!
